  • I was at the show today with my wife. It was a lovely show. We had no clue that the plants for sale would go so quickly! When we arrived only about 40 plants were left for sale. We bought four. They were not our favorites. But hey, I like hibiscus.

On the website, it says that Affordable Hibiscus is the supplier. I emailed them and they said that they were not the supplier this year as the person who oversees the nursery has been sick.

So my question is: who supplied the plants that were for sale? I would really like a contact, as I really want to get blue ones growing on their own roots. Affordable Hibiscus is not it. Can the Society please update their website?

Alternatively could someone please contact me via email which of course is not shown here.

  • Who are the nurseries that will be selling at the April 8, 2017 Mead Garden Show ?
Will any of them be selling ‘standard’ hibiscus trees either single or braided ?
Do you know what size pots and the height they will be ?
I am looking for two multi color standards bright colors like red & yellow and have not
been able to find any in the Orlando area this year.

I would greatly appreciate any info. on this very much.
Also, contact info. for the suppliers.

I am thanking you in advance for your help. Hope to see you at the show.

  • Two years ago at the spring show I bought a hibiscus called “Orange Beach” – mine died – Does anybody know the vendor or where I get another, it is my favorite.

  • After seeing your show this past weekend at Mead Gardens, I’d like to say thank you. Having grown up around hibiscus in south Florida all my life, seeing your show and the talents of your members was a wonderful surprise.

    Thanks again.

    • Thank you very much for coming to our show and the nice note. We do put this shows with a lot of work, but also a lot of love. We really enjoy the beauty of hibiscus and are delighted when more people enjoy them with us! Our show next year in March 30th at the same place, make sure you join us then again! Thanks again!

  • Mead Gardens has nothing about a show on the 20th. Is there a show in Winter Park or is something in error? Thanks

  • I tried to email Margaret about the Show/Sale on Saturday, but the email address is invalid.
Is the Plant sale open to the public at 8am?

  • Is there anything I have to do to enter my blooms or do I need be a member

    • Rebecca, all you have to do is show up to our show and enter your blooms. Everything is setup there and if its your first time, there will be people to help you out. You don’t have to be a member to show your blooms. We will be delighted to see you at our next show!
